I’ve recently uninstalled the Vox application and cancelled my account. It just doesn’t handle photos the way I want to. I basically want an online photo dump. I miss Textamerica. I also tried to use the built-in web upload feature with Flickr on my N73, and I don’t like that, either. I don’t like that I have to do it manually. So I’ve gone back to ShoZu.
I quit ShoZu a while back due to memory usage issues on both my N80 and now my N73. However, they’ve since updated the app, and it seems to be working fine now. I setup both Flickr and Blip.tv as one-click destinations (though truly it’s no-click, as they’re both on auto-upload.)
One thing that tempts me about the N95, though, is having GPS built-in. I’ve always thought the idea of geo-tagging photos was awesome. It’s great for me if I’m going travelling (or want to go travelling) and want to get an idea of what the area will look like. It’s also just cool. So then I noticed that ShoZu can automatically geo-tag photos, which is something I’m going to try out this weekend when I go camping.
However, both Roland Tanglao and Jonathan Greene haven’t gotten it to work 100% yet, so I wonder what my results will be? Anyone with an N95 toyed with geo-tagging? Can it be done out of the box? Anyone else with another S60v3 device and an external GPS unit been able to get it to work?
